Labor of Love: From Yard to Wellness

A cookbook born from healing, heritage, and purpose.

Growing up in a Jamaican household, I learned that food was more than nourishment—it was love, culture, and community. Family recipes and home-cooked meals inspired my passion for cooking and shaped how I view food today.

My journey with fibroids deepened my understanding of the connection between nutrition, wellness, and healing, leading me to embrace a plant-based lifestyle while honoring my Caribbean roots.

As a public health and community health advocate, I’ve seen how nourishing food can transform lives. This cookbook reflects that belief, blending Jamaican-inspired flavors with wholesome, plant-based recipes that celebrate culture, wellness, and tradition.

I hope these recipes inspire you to eat well, embrace your heritage, and create meaningful moments around the table.

Thank you for being part of this journey.

With love, wellness, and community—One Love!
